INSTAGRAM WORTHY SANTORINI

Every corner you turn, you’ll stumble upon the most gorgeous views.

OIA VILLAGE CLIFFSIDE SUNSET

Oia is world famous for their sunsets. While standing on the cliffside at dusk, you’ll be among a mass rush of people waiting to capture the perfect picture that’s painted in the sky. You absolutely won’t regret it.

Avli Tip: After you get your shot, head to Amoudi Bay that’s accessible by steep stairs winding down the cliffside. Once you get to the bay, grab a bite by the sea.

ANASTASIA ORTHODOX CHURCH

You know the one. The iconic blue domed church that perfectly matches the blue sky with a crystal clear backdrop of the Aegean Sea.

Avli Tip: To find it, start in Oia’s main square. Take the wide walking path on the famous Gold Street and cut into the alley beside the Minerali Jewelry Store. Walk a few yards…and there you’ll discover it.

BYZANTINE CASTLE RUINS

The castle ruins are located in the northwestern tip of Santorini and offer visitors a beautiful panoramic view of the sea, especially at sunset. The castle of St. Nicholas dates back to the 15th century and was one of the most significant residences on the island, a home of Byzantine aristocracy. Unfortunately, only just a fraction of the castle remains due to the large earthquake of 1956.

Avli Tip: This Instagram shot is worth it, but bring your walking shoes.

THE THREE BELLS OF FIRA

Officially known as The Catholic Church of the Dormition, the three bells are a part of the Greek Catholic church on the island of Santorini. The church is famed for its three bells, blue dome, and picturesque views.

Avli Tip: Head to the parking lot above the church that offers plenty of space to snag the best photo. There are also restaurants with amazing terraces close by.

PERISSA BEACH

Perissa Beach is very Instagram friendly due to it’s unique black sand and volcanic soil. There’s non-stop bars, cafes and lounges–so once you get here, there’s plenty to do and photograph.

Avli Tip: Watersports can be hard to come by in Santorini, given its limited low-lying beach areas and extensive cliffy regions. Luckily, Perissa offers a wide variety of fun-filled watersports activities if that's what you’re in the mood for.

THE TRADITIONAL VILLAGE OF EMPORIO

While Santorini is obviously known for its breathtaking cliffside views, the beautiful village of Emporio should not be overlooked. Head here and you’ll find a maze of fascinating shapes and colors within narrow alleys that create the perfect Instagrammable shot.

Avli Tip: Plan to spend about 2 hours here to really discover the village. And wear good shoes..no heels.
